FAQs

Who is this training for?
This course is built for restoration professionals responsible for documenting, packing out, and managing contents — from field technicians capturing items on-site to project managers organizing and reporting from the office.
Do I need to complete other courses before this one?
We recommend starting with Field Documentation Basics first. It covers job setup, room creation, and photo documentation — skills that make contents inventorying faster and more accurate.
Can multiple team members inventory contents in the same job at once?
Yes. Every Encircle subscription includes unlimited team members. And because all data syncs in real time, multiple users can work together on the same job without overwriting each other’s progress.
What if someone adds items to the wrong room in Encircle?
If contents have been added to the wrong room, they can easily be moved from one room to another. Follow the steps here:

How do I know which report to use?
There are a few types of contents reports that you can create in Encircle. This includes: general inventory lists, PDF photo sheets and schedules of loss.

How can I protect my company from disputes about damage?
Capture clear room overviews and consider taking a 360 photo at the start and end of each day in every room. This visual record lives in Encircle and shows the state of each room before and after your team was working, helping protect your team from claims that items were damaged in your care.
How do I get my IICRC CE certificate for completing this course?
When you complete your quiz you'll be asked if you require an IICRC CE certificate. If you selected the option to receive an IICRC CE certificate on the form and achieved more than 80% on the quiz, we’ll email you a PDF certificate shortly after completion. Certificates are sent quickly, but please allow up to 5 minutes for delivery.
You can submit your certificate to the IICRC in one of the following ways:
  • Email the PDF to renewals@iicrcnet.org OR
